1. Mrs. House’s Neighborhood May 15-19 3rd Grade Dear Parents,
We had a fabulous week last week at school. Our Pink Palace field trip was a blast. I loved spending time with your children outside of the classroom and I think they all loved it too. We also won 1st place in our division for our class science fair project where we tested different recipes for slime to see which recipe stretched the best. Our project will now go on to the Bartlett City Schools District Science Fair. This was a fun class experiment. We also watched our caterpillars complete the metamorphosis process and turn into lovely butterflies. We released them into the courtyard and watched them flutter away into the world.
We have just 2 weeks left, but we aren’t finished learning yet! We have been practicing writing in cursive and different strategies to multiply. We are also about half-way finished reading Charlotte’s Web. Hopefully, we’ll get to watch the movie when we finish the book and compare and contrast them through writing.
Lastly, I cannot thank all of you enough for all the notes, flowers, and treats you showered me with this past week. This class has made my year an excellent one I will never forget!!!
