1 Psalm 119:9-16

2 Psalm 119:9-16 9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity?     By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart;     do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart     that I might not sin against you.

3 12 Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees
12 Praise be to you, Lord;     teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount     all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes     as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts     and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees;     I will not neglect your word.

4 Psalm 119:105 105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,     a light on my path.

5 Proverbs 2:1-5 2 My son, if you accept my words     and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom     and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight     and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver     and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord     and find the knowledge of God.

6 Proverbs 4:23-27 23 Above all else, guard your heart,     for everything you do flows from it. 24 Keep your mouth free of perversity;     keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;     fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Give careful thought to the[a] paths for your feet     and be steadfast in all your ways. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left;     keep your foot from evil.

7 Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart     and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him,     and he will make your paths straight.

8 Philippians 4:7 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

9 Luke 6:43-45 43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
