project : OCCC RER B I suggest an intervention in 3 phases: First : make a presentation of Idf Second : make a presentation of PARM / RERB And : make a presentation of EOLE For the project of RER B, I suggest to project some concepts of operations.

7 IdF : mass transit area but some limits
Old network with many technical problems: For example, catenary of RER C dates from 1930 Some congested sections on the network : RER B/D : 32 trains per hour and per direction between gare du Nord and Châtelet Traffic rules, tools ans systems are not specific to mass transit: For example : GALITE: train tracking system is not compatible (lack of precision) Organisation decentralized: SNCF Network staff (signal man, train dispatchers and electrical dispartchers) and SNCF Transporter aren’t in the same room

9 With RATP, SNCF TN and SNCF Network
RER B built on a major route with 3 actors (each with its own responsabilities) but in a single command Center SNCF perimeter Shared network 7 signal boxes 1 CSS 25kV Each day : 840 trains including RER B: 490 Line K : 30 TER : 26 FRET (All operators) : 280 SNCF Network : 14 RATP perimeter Dedicated network 1 CSS 1.5 kV RER B is an important route. Approximatly Seven hundred thousand passengers per day. 4 important sites : 3 airports : Roissy, Le Bourget and Orly stade de France : 150 events each year (6 nations tournament) internationnal congress centre (COP 21) In blue : dedicated line RERB with suitable passengers dock and specific signals RER B is running on its own truck in nominal or slightly disturbed situation. When there is an pb, it’spossible to switch the train on the other track. FEDERATE THE OPERATING STAFF WITH COMMON TARGET MAKE DURABLE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE As an extension of our projects carried out during last years : New services with network fitted « RER B+ » Arranging new line staff RATP/SNCF-RFF Unifying in OCCC with staff of PCC RATP, Operational Center of TN and trafic operation Regarding that the creation of new infrastructure in Le Bourget and Stade de France stations will allow trains flipping in degraded mode
