Use the following materials to blow up a balloon without using your mouth:
4 ounces of vinegar
3 tablespoons of baking soda
1 water bottle
1 balloon

For this experiment, you will need to wear a pair of safety glasses.
If you spill any vinegar, please inform the teacher.
Wash your hands after you finish with this experiment.

10. Engage Procedure Pour 4 ounces of vinegar into the bottle.
Place 3 teaspoons of baking powder into the balloon.
Wrap the mouth of the balloon over the mouth of the bottle, being careful not to pour any of the baking powder into the bottle.
Draw a picture of the balloon and bottle in your science journal and add labels. Remember A B C D.
Write down what you observe.

Procedure
Lift the balloon so that the baking soda drops into the bottle filled with vinegar.
Observe what happens.
Draw another picture of the balloon and bottle in your science journal, noting any changes. A B C D!
Write down any reactions or changes you observe. Use your senses of site, touch, and hearing.
Write down the procedures you followed to do this experiment.
