“THE SMALL AND SLOW WORK OF GOD”
Zechariah 4:6-10

God works…

6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a

plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’” 8 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall

also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. 10 For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.

“These seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range through the whole earth.”

Small and Slow.

Small and Slow. God will do more through our patience than through our power.

Small and Slow. When God is working slower than we would like, He is usually doing something bigger than we had planned.

At The Table.

At The Table. God biggest impact happens in the smallest places.

Until It Is Finished.

10 …shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.

Until It Is Finished. The work God completes far surpasses the lives we can dream.

6…shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.

8 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

4 …perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you

may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Until It Is Finished. Patience isn’t something we develop, it develops us.

20 …far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.
