2 Trompe L’oeil: Paintings
translated from French, means "to fool, mislead, or trick the eye". For that very reason, trompe l'oeil was frequently utilized by the great artists of the Renaissance period, for example, to momentarily trick the viewer into believing that the painted objects they were looking at were real. It is a very difficult technique used by many artists throughout history.

Students will be able to create a work of art, in clay, in the Trompe Loeil style. Scale: Should be the same size as the object creating Texture: What texture is your object? Smooth? Rough? Metallic?
