C63.10 Testing Unlicensed Wireless Devices 26 Attendees and 12 Guests Working group discussed 5 main topics which included FCC approach to new KDB referencing C63.10 It was noted that the newest versions of FCC KDB for DTS and FHSS devices now provides direct referencing of ANSI C63.10 clauses. Frequency Hopping Devices There was a discussion regarding the removal of FCC DA from the FCC KDB covering these devices. DA provided the ability of averaging emissions within restricted bands. This has been included in the draft of C There is also a new definition for time of occupancy that is introduced into the draft. Test reductions for OFDMA technologies Test reduction for OFDMA technologies, such as ax, was discussed. A new item was added to test reduction clause to highlight the need to evaluate these technologies under different resource assignments. C63.10 structure proposal to align C63.10 and C63.26 The alignment of the clauses of C63.10 and C63.26 was discussed, but it was voted by the working group to not move forward with the alignment of the clause structure between the two standards. The Working group reviewed and resolved comments that were received on the latest draft. Draft to be circulated to the WG to approved some new text for WPT and will be sent to SC4 by end of 1st quarter of 2019.

C63.26 Procedures for compliance testing of transmitters used in licensed radio services 33 attendees in person and 15 on webinar Topics of discussion at the WG included Sections of the standard that have been updated/completed: Radiated emissions, Signal Boosters Ongoing work: MIMO Task Group will be circulating updated text to the WG for review. mmWave JTG - Developing procedures and guidance for performing compliance measurements on mmWave (28,37&39 GHz) licensed communications devices. Traceability and calibration issues highlighted for investigation Vehicular Radar TG - Developing procedures and guidance for performing compliance measurements on Vehicular Radars being transitioned to GHz band. Existing ETSI Measurement Standard being tailored to accommodate FCC and ISED test requirements Proposed schedule -Completion of Ongoing TG Work Expected Early in Q Circulation of Updated Draft to WG for Review in March Discussion and Comment Resolution at Spring 2019 F2F Meeting Vote to Forward to SC4 at Spring 2019 F2F or Shortly Thereafter

C63.29 Procedures for compliance testing of lighting product The Working group continue to make progress. Critical setup issues like the testing fixture (know before as reference Luminaire), dimmers test methods, LED drivers, and other have been addressed. Additional Lighting devices setups will be discussed at upcoming conference calls The WG will be incorporating the relevant C63.4 material to complete the draft. The WG expects to be completed by September 2019 (stretch goal) or by Q (long term goal)

C63.30 Procedures for compliance testing of Wireless Power Transfer products Topics of discussion at the WG included Below 30MHz test investigations (LLAS and small loop) A short summary of completed testing at FCC was provided. After internal peer review, a report will be shared with C63.30 WG end of this year or early January. Test equipment (Tx loop, cables, ferrites) will be shipped to next lab by the end of this year. Extrapolation below 30MHz A short presentation on comparison of work being conducted by WG members regarding roll-off factors (separated per polarization) vs. McNulty factors (1991; worst-case from all polarizations) Presentation may be updated to take into consideration investigations done at Ford over earth. Discussion on the requirement for 3 WPT power levels (min, medium, max) as currently drafted resulted in the need for a pole to be taken of the WG to see if only maximum output power needs to be tested. Goal is have draft to SC4 in 2019 but this is contingent on the testing below 30MHz that is underway

C63.31 Compliance testing of Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) Equipment Topics of discussion at the WG included Basic ISM test methodology - Outlined the basic methodology for testing small devices. Developing a loading methodology for devices requiring specific test conditions. In Situ Test Methodology - Define test methodology for where In Situ testing can be performed, i.e., at the end location, or at the manufacturer’s site. Continuing to update the existing draft text to reflect the current text in the C63.4 draft. Schedule – draft to SC4 by middle of 2019
