1. In The Night Bonfire Night Nursery Autumn 2 Week 1
The children will use their fine motor skills to hold scissors correctly as they cut along lines. Dough Gym is where we do exercises to music to strengthen our fingers, hands and upper body. In P E the children will be thinking about the movements and noises fireworks make, they will make the movements to music.
Physical Development
The children will carry on using their imagination in the role play. They will be listening to each others ideas and re creating roles. This weeks role play is a Bonfire Party.
Expressive Arts and Design
The children will carry on learning their numbers through the characters of Ten Town. This week we will learn all about Fiona Five. We will be finding out about different shapes, naming them and learning how to describe them.
Mathematics
In the creative area we will be using
different shapes to
make our fireworks and different
media and materials to make
bonfire night pictures.
In music this week we will be using the
musical instruments to make the sounds
of the fireworks

Circle Time
The children will play games that will help them to learn each others names and recognise their own names when written down. We will be looking at the first letter of our names.
Communication & Language
Literacy
The children will talk about their experiences of Bonfire night. We will learn how to keep ourselves safe on bonfire night.
We start a new SEAL topic – Getting on and falling out. This week we will looking at taking turns, sharing and working together as a group.
Personal, Social, Emotional
Development
This week we will be listening for the initial sounds of words. The children will have objects that begin with different sounds, can they hear the different sounds, can they make the different sounds.
