3 What is EPALE… The Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe is a multilingual site for Adult Learning Practitioners (tutors, trainers, researchers, policy makers, and anyone else with a role in adult learning).

4 How is EPALE structured…
EPALE is funded through the European Commission. There is a Central Support Service (CSS) who work to develop and manage the EPALE site. The CSS works with the National Support Services (NSS) and adult learning experts to provide content to the platform. (DG EAC) European Commission National Support Services Central Support Service

5 NSS Role… “NSSs will focus on bringing EPALE to the adult education community in their countries and motivate those communities to participate in EPALE”. Promote EPALE Collect resources & articles to be shared Assist users in using the site where necessary

12 Why resister & engage… Posting on EPALE about work you are doing can garner interest from other adult educators around Europe and can raise awareness of a campaign you are working on 2. It can be a place to move outside your usual circle / bubble of advice and support 3. Using pieces of research from other countries can help you build a case to support arguments 4. Find organisations with whom to run projects or carry out research 5. Take part in events and webinars
