4 Exam Registration Review General Regulations – available to students on manageBAC Sign and return letter Understand general regs Understand ethical and academic expectations Understand CAS expectations Students completed exam selections in early October

5 Exam Registration New Candidate Session Number and PIN for end of October Students will need to submit tasks for assessment Students will need to check results in July Personal Code: permanent identifier with IBO—don’t lose it!

6 Invoice for IB Exams Registration fee paid last year unless DP Courses
Subject fee is US$119 plus GST 5 exams? US$595 plus GST I will do conversion to CDN$ Invoices went home about 2 weeks ago Please pay as soon as possible

7 Graduation and Diploma
Dual Track: MOE and IB MOE: 80 graduation credits Grad Transitions Fine Arts/Applied Skills Math 11 or 12, SS 11, English 10, Math 10, Science 10, Planning 10 English 12 and 4 grade 12 courses Provincial Numeracy assessment and English 12 Exam (January)

8 IB Students will earn the Diploma if: CAS requirements have been met
Total points are 24 or more No “N” given in any subject, including TOK and EE (N meaning incomplete) No “E” awarded in TOK and/or EE (E meaning Fail) No 1 is awarded in any subject No more than two 2s No more than three 3s Scored more than 12 points on 3 HLs (4HLs, 3 highest count) Scored more than 9 points on 3 SLs (5 on 2 SLs) Has not been found guilty of academic misconduct

Do your research! Specific faculties and programmes have specific requirements Transfer credit policies are different from university to university Consider ALL your options Don’t go where you aren’t wanted… Most are similar to UBC/SFU requirements but… DO YOUR RESEARCH!

12 Canadian Post Secondary
Predicted Grades Completed at end of semester 1 Consider your entire academic performance PREDICTION! Prove us right! Prove us wrong! Do not pester, bribe or bully teachers. Students will complete a form for each university they want PGs for. I will give them to the students—they submit them! I will send your PGs to UBC and SFU. Students are responsible for the rest.

December 1 deadline for application to be considered for the Presidential Scholars Award and UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award. January 15 deadline for applications January 31 deadline for interim transcripts a.k.a predicted grades

15 UBC IB DIPLOMA STUDENTS DO NOT SELF REPORT GRADES
I will send PREDICTED GRADES directly to UBC I will confirm directly with UBC if students have taken Phys 11/Chem 11 outside of DP and need it for admissions IB COURSES STUDENTS (certs) must self report as BC Dogwood and meet BC Dogwood deadlines

16 UBC Full diploma will only be considered on basis of diploma scores out of 42 Personal profile Competitive scores in range of for sciences, for arts… Final admission confirmation will include bonus points for TOK/EE

18 SFU n-requirements/fall-2019/international- baccalaureate.html December 3 deadline for scholarship consideration January 31 deadline for admissions for Fall 2019 February 8 deadline for Beedie supplementals, etc February 28 deadline for BC 12 Dogwood self- reporting and for interim transcripts (PGs)

19 SFU FULL DIPLOMA students DO NOT SELF REPORT grades; I will send predicted grades directly to SFU- you send BC transcript if needed! If predicted below 28, will be asked to self report % grades as BC Dogwood students 28 predicted points for early admission; 31 for applied sciences (subject to change) Earn a diploma (24+ final) and get 30 credits

20 U Vic students/undergraduate/admissions/high- school/ib/index.php February 28 application deadline Self report: IB diploma- self report predicted grades? Or %? 29-31 points will get conditional early acceptance; confirmed on final grades Earn diploma with 4 or higher in subject scores for advanced credit, up to full one year
