Vocabulary (p. 1005)
A chord is a line segment where both endpoints lie on a circle.
A Central Angle is an angle with measure less than 180° and whose vertex is the center of a circle.
An Inscribed Angle is an angle whose vertex lies on a circle and the sides of the angle are chords of the circle.

2. Vocabulary (p. 1006)
A minor arc is an arc whose points are on or in the interior of a central angle.
A major arc is an arc whose points are on or in the exterior of the central angle.
A semicircle is an arc whose endpoints are the endpoints of a diameter.

3. Arc Addition Postulate
The measure of an arc formed by 2 adjacent arcs is the sum of the measures of the 2 arcs. B D A C
