2. Huntsville City Schools will Offer Summer School for Grades 6-12 at Grissom and Lee High Schools from June 6 – July 1, 2016
General Summer School Information:
Summer School starts June 6 and ends July 1

Summer School registration form is posted on HCS website
Two locations for Summer School
Grissom High School: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Lee High School: :00 am – 4:30 pm
Transportation will be provided to and from student’s home school
Bus schedule will be posted on HCS website by May 1
Breakfast and lunch will be provided at each location through Summer Feed Program

3. Huntsville City Schools Will Offer Credit Recovery and Credit Enhancement Courses in Summer School
Summer School registration is now open
Students may register with guidance counselors at school sites
Credit Recovery courses are available to help students get back on track and progress toward next grade level
$25 Non-refundable registration fee for Non-Title I Schools
Tuition for course is paid by HCS
Blended learning classroom environment of online learning platform and support from certified subject area teacher
Credit Enhancement courses are available to provide students maximum scheduling opportunities
Health $150 (Non HCS Students $175)
Driver Traffic and Safety Education $150 +$40 fee (Non HCS $175 + $40 fee)
Career Preparedness $300 (Non HCS $350)

Summer School Completion Rate Increased from 87% in 2014 to 91% in 2015
