The KR 16 is one of KUKA most versatile six-axis industrial robots, as shown in Figure 5-2. It can be expanded easily and is available in various combinations. Its jointed-arm kinematic system makes it the perfect partner for all point-to-point and continuous-path controlled tasks in the low payload category.

The KR AGILUS sixx is KUKA compact six-axis robot that is designed for particularly high working speeds, as shown in Figure 5-4. Different versions, installation positions, reaches and payloads transform the small robot into a precision artist. Irrespective of the installation position – whether on the floor, ceiling or wall – it achieves utmost precision in confined spaces thanks to its integrated energy supply system and service-proven KR C4 compact controller.

KR CYBERTECH ARC nano
The KR CYBERTECH ARC nano product family is optimized for continuous-path applications such as arc welding and the application of adhesives and sealants, as shown in Figure 5-5. The industrial robots offer ideal performance combined with a high power density – for maximum economy at low cost. The 50-millimeter hollow-shaft wrist is a future-oriented innovation: the hollow axis allows reduced main axis motion with short cycle times and utmost precision of movement.

KR QUANTEC pro
The KR QUANTEC pro has been optimized to work with payloads between 90 and 120 kilograms, as shown in Figure 5-6. It is compact, powerful and extremely precise–that opens up the possibility of new, innovative cell concepts for Industrie 4.0. Its slender wrist and the reduced interference contour allow for extremely high precision and speed. As a result, it is perfectly suited to spot welding, soldering and handling tasks.

The LBR iiwa is the world’s first series-produced sensitive, and it’s a human-robot-collaboration robot, as shown in Figure 5-7. LBR stands for “Leichtbauroboter” (German for lightweight robot), iiwa for “intelligent industrial work assistant”.
