3. Partnership w/ Guardian Life Insurance
Location of office is in north Spokane (11 miles, 16 minutes from Chattaroy)

Strong support for education:
100 backpacks for community college students
Annual winter book project with Shiloh Hills Elementary School
Commitment:
$3,500 for school year
12 volunteers reading 30 minutes per week
Plus $2,000 for winter book project & meet and great with Vello students

4. Why Riverside SD? – Chattaroy Elem.
: 33.6% of third grade students at Riverside School District are meeting the state guidelines for English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA).
From elementary to high school 40-60% of students are meeting grade level ELA.
: 49.3% free or reduced lunch.

5. What is Vello?
Video
Vello is a 1:1 online tutoring program that makes volunteering easy. It connects passionate professionals with kids in their community for guided reading with super simple screen sharing and audio.
What’s included?
Vello tech support
1 computer per classroom w/ programming and headset
Raz A to Z access 24/7 for each student, parents & teachers
Able to pull live reports anytime

6. How does Vello Work?
12-15 volunteers match up with 5-6 students per classroom for 1:1 reading 30 minutes per week

7. 2018-2019 Vello Pilot First set of reports by December 2018 Data:
Quarterly reports:
Data will show reports for teachers, volunteers & community
Improvement in reading level, amount read, comprehension, etc.
End of school year we will evaluate impact of reading levels, and volunteer experience
If pilot is successful Vello will expand to other school districts & corporate partners in 2019
