2 Quick Introduction Relatively new professor Not a techie
2nd year at Queens Not a techie definition: a person who is expert in or enthusiastic about technology, especially computing.

3 Why not try new things? Not having the time to invest?
Fear of the unknown? Students will know (a lot) more than I? What if I lose credibility? Fear of losing control of the classroom experience

4 My New perspective Drastically different than planned can be wonderful
Student learning can extend beyond my goals. Let’s learn together I’m comfortable with students’ teaching me Jumping in doesn’t mean I’m the only one in the pool Learning/collaborating with other faculty members
