background: Danielle Bossaert and Christoph Demmke (EIPA): Main Challenges in the Field of Ethics and Integrity in the EU Member States (carried out in 2004, published in 2005) Main Features of the Ethics Framework for the Public Sector (proposed by the Dutch Presidency and adopted by the Directors General ) objectives of the current study: to capture the changes that have occurred since the previous survey was carried out (2,5 years ago) to find out how the Ethics Framework has been received in the member states to identify the main challenges

there are various and complex relationships between legislation, value statements and codes of ethics the value statements and codes of ethics may vary on different levels of government (general, branch-specific and agency-specific) in order to get a comprensive understanding of public service ethics in your country, please send us relevant documents on official values and ethical standards. If your government has not introduced such documents yet, please send us the relevant contents of the central laws (e.g., the relevant statutes of the administrative law).
