WOMEN TOOK ON NEW ROLES IN FACTORIES AND TOOK JOBS OVERSEAS AS NURSES, TELEPHONE OPERATORS, AND TYPISTS. HELPED WORKERS AND MANAGEMENT AVOID STRIKES AND REACH AGREEMENTS DURING THE WAR.

Fear in the U.S. that America would fall to communism Became suspicious of immigrants Congress doesn’t approve joining it because it will get the U.S. involved in more world problems. It was President Woodrow Wilson’s idea, but Congress still rejected it!
