Membership Engagement is a key priority of 5th Directorate and Corporate Services Directorate

5. Structural Changes
Chief Executive role ended 18 January 2008 – HQ working on 5th Directorate Business Plan – managerial support rather than strategic support.

6. Retention of System of Elections
Election process for Vice President Elect and Directors about to begin – democratic accountability

7. Permanent President
A decision was promised in Spring 2008 when business planning processes were in place.

8. Directorate Role
More about leadership and management and less technically linked.

9. Re-emergency of Regions
MSB undertaking work.

10. Relationship with CLG
No loss of independence – sharing of information with members does demand a certain level of confidentiality on occasions.

11. Members’ Sounding Board
Better links with Board – directors attending MSB and MSB members attending Board – directors to utilise MSB more.
