6 What is the name of the website you need to use to find the data?
Much of this data is obtained from a survey taken in most ACs, called a CENSUS In the UK it is undertaken every 10 years- in year ending 1, so 2011 was the last one and 2021 will be next. A day is chosen when all UK residents must complete a form about their households, children, job etc at THAT GIVEN POINT IN TIME. Above is the website that has the census data on it. If looking at small/ local areas you should search LSOAs (Lower level super output areas) in rural areas and Ward data in urban areas (like where we live). However you must be aware that the data has limitations Questions to answer- What is a census? What is the name of the website you need to use to find the data? What type of area should you view to find rural area data? What type of area should you view to find urban area data ?

7 Limitations of Census data
Can you think of any issues with census data? Its just a snapshot of that particular time/ day etc - the person may have a child or move very soon afterwards. As years pass the data becomes more and more out of date The boundaries used can change so it becomes more difficult to directly compare areas.
