1. Come to class prepared to learn On time Student Binder, pen/pencil, homework, assignments Alert and ready to work! Please no cell phones or other distracting technology unless the lesson requires it 2. Participate in class activities with a positive attitude. Follow directions the first time Contribute to group work Do not distract others 3. Respect Others Polite language Raise hand to ask/answer question Treat others with courtesy

7 Grading Classwork (includes Interactive Student Binders): 20%
Quarter Exam: 20% Tests & Quizzes: 30% Projects/Assignments: 10% Homework: 10% Participation: 10%

8 Final Exam In order to be exempt from the Final you must earn either
B, A, A, A B+, A, A, A A, A, A, A Final with either be an exam or a project. It will be worth as much as a quarter grade (20%).

9 Interactive Student Binders
Get a 2in Binder I like ones with sleeve If you do not think that you will be able to get one for whatever reason, see me during the break TODAY and I will see if I can find you one Teacher Version on Bookshelf 4 Sections: Class Documents Notes/Handouts Homework Graded Work

10 Break Times No water or bathroom breaks during class time
We will have a 5min break each day for you to do these things

11 Participation Every Day the Student will have the opportunity to earn 4 participation points: On time (1) Preparation (1) (with notebook, pencil/pen, all papers when bell rings) Will lose if you have to ask me for a pen, run to your locker, disrupt class to get papers, etc.) On Task (1) Will lose point if teacher repeatedly help student stay on task Contribution (2) Ask or Answer questions Volunteer for a demonstration Present information

12 Homework Short Assignments (about 30 minutes) 10% of your grade
Prepare you for next class or reinforce what we did that day ½ credit if late but before unit test ¼ credit if late because of an unexcused absence

13 Extra Credit Occasionally given for winning review games or doing review quizzes 1 assignment per quarter

14 Attendance You are responsible for making up work
Come to me the day you return for GP to get missed work and update your Interactive Student Binder Use website for PowerPoints

15 Late Work ½ credit if in by the unit test
No work assigned after the quarter it was assigned

16 Make Up Email Website GP
One week to turn in assignments for full credit Class time is not time to make up work

17 Unexcused Absences Ms Bell contacts your parents

18 Tardies Sign In By The Door Come in quietly
Pick up materials at the front table Do not distract others 3 tardies = parent notification & lunch detention Every tardy after that = lunch or GP detention Tardy of 20 minutes or more = unexcused absense

The Year of your birth should be year 1. Anything that happened before your birth should be counted back and called BMB: (Before My birth) Anything that happened after your birth should be counted up and called AMB (After My Birth) 5 BMB Ms. Bell’s parents get married Year 1 AMB Ms. Bell is Born Year 18 AMB Ms. Bell graduates from high school
