2.0 GPA Requirement Positive teacher evaluations throughout the season 3 unexcused absences results in dismissal Excessive tardiness will result in dismissal Cheerleading takes priority over any and all activities (including all star cheerleading, work, other sports) Social Media Contract signed after tryouts

4 TIME COMMITTMENT MS/JV: Season runs August – January
Required summer work outs Mandatory summer camp 3-4 practices a week Tumbling at MMATC once a week (MS- Monday, JV-Tuesday) Football games on Thursday nights Basketball games twice a week VARSITY: Season runs August - February Football: August – December Basketball: December – February Competition: October - February Required summer work outs Mandatory summer camp 3-5 practices a week (sometimes weekends, teacher planning days and holiday breaks) 2 practices a week at MMATC (Tuesday & Thursday) Football games on Friday nights Basketball games twice a week Weekend competitions November - February

6 COST Camp deposit is due May 31st MS/JV - $95.00 Varsity - $115.00
Estimated detailed cost sheet is in tryout packet MS & JV: $467.00 Includes practice wear, game day wear, summer camp, and bag Varsity: $776.00 Includes practice wear, game day wear, summer camp, bag, warm ups If a cheerleader already has some of the items from the previous year, you are not required to purchase those items. Please get approval from Coach Walker first. Camp deposit is due May 31st MS/JV - $95.00 Varsity - $115.00 Practice wear and camp fees are due in full by June 28th.

8 TRYOUTS Tryout Dates: Dress Requirements for Tryouts:
Tryout Requirements & Reminders You must attend all days and you may not arrive late or leave early. You will be evaluated each day. All students must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA to be eligible to tryout. Try outs are closed. No parents, family, or friends are permitted to observe tryouts. Grade level does not determine what team you will be placed on. If selected for Varsity, competition is NOT optional. Tumbling is not mandatory to make a team. Being a cheerleader the previous year in no way guarantees placement on the squad for the following year. Final decisions of teams will be made by the coaches. Teams will be posted on FHS Cheer website, Instagram, and Twitter on the evening of Sunday, April 22nd. Tryout Dates: Tuesday-Thursday, April 17-19, 3:30 -5:30 in the gym Dress Requirements for Tryouts: Tuesday & Wednesday: Appropriate athletic clothes in any color (t-shirt or tank top with shorts); cheer shoes or tennis shoes; NO jewelry; hair in neat ponytail and out of face; hair bow is optional Thursday: Solid white t-shirt or tank top, black shorts; cheer shoes or tennis shoes; NO jewelry; hair in neat ponytail and out of face; black or white hair bow is optional Must have EL3 forms and EL2 Physical form completed
