During the last 20 years, the scientific activities of the Organic Materials’ Conservation Laboratory, in collaboration with other laboratories of the Conservation Dept. (TEI of Athens), aimed mainly to the:
Evaluation and optimization of organic materials’ analytical and diagnostic methods;
Development of good practices for the collection management of organic materials
Investigation of the organic materials’ decay mechanisms;
Improvement of the educational process for the conservation of organic materials.
Development of advanced materials and methods for the organic materials’ preservation and protection;
