2 Fig 1 Iodine contrast enhanced multi detector computed tomography with coronal multiplanar reconstruction image showing an expansive lesion of the right seventh rib with cortical destruction medially and a very large lesion extending into the right hemithorax. This lesion has an inhomogeneous density and is consistent with the low-grade osteosarcoma. On this image other sites of fibrous dysplasia may be observed in the right ninth rib and left eighth rib. Also note the presence of a right-sided large pleural effusion and pleural tube. 3 Fig 2 Pathology showed a solid, bone containing mass. The fibrous matrix is moderately cellular. Neoplastic trabecular bone is seen providing the diagnosis of osteosarcoma. (Magnification 100×; hematoxylin and eosin staining.) The Annals of Thoracic Surgery  , e89-e90DOI: ( /j.athoracsur ) Copyright © 2013 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Terms and Conditions
