1 How to Use CheckMyWork Guide

2 What is CheckMyWork? CheckMyWork is an originality-checking tool to support students in the development and submission of original work. CheckMyWork is accessed from the Links area of the Student Home Page in Connexus®. Use this tool to make sure you are not plagiarizing or inappropriately using another person’s work. This tool compares your work to the content found in billions of pages of Internet archives, student papers, websites, journals, and publications. After students submit their work on the CheckMyWork page, the results are displayed in a CheckMyWork originality report. A link to this report is provided to the student. The report shows whether the student's submitted work is original or whether it contains content found in another person's work. The link to the report can be sent to a teacher for review. © 2015 Connections Education LLC. All rights reserved.

Even though the URL appears, the report may not yet be available. If you click the link before the report is ready, you may receive a “Generating Report” message.

After viewing the Originality Report, you can edit your work and resubmit it by repeating the process. When you are satisfied with the results, copy and paste the Originality Report URL into the final version of your work before submitting it to your teacher.
