While watch the video, think of a situation in your life that may be seem negative, but can eventually become a positive situation like Jordan's

5 EMOJI Emotions Activity
Let’s take a look at how events impact our emotions and how those emotions can lead to our self-concept and self-esteem. Teachers…. Distribute the emoji cards at this point and have students first write their reflections on the back of their paper then begin “speed dating.”

6 EMOJI Emotions Activity
Describe a situation that could happen to make a seventh grade student feel the emotion described on the emoji paper you have. Explain how that emotion may help or hinder that person’s self-concept and self-esteem. Describe strategies that a seventh grader could use to either turn that situation around (if it is a negative one) or maintain that feeling (if it is a positive one).

If conflict was not resolved… How could you now resolve it using some resolution strategies? Give students 2 minutes to think and answer. Re-think the two individual situations and change them.
