5 A Day in math Class Review homework. Students should ask questions as needed! Solve and Share/Problem of the Day Lesson (on carpet) Guided Practice with Teacher Checks Independent Practice with Teacher Checks Differentiated homework assigned daily Monday – Thursday Exit slips on some days as needed

7 Homework Differentiated questions on homework worksheets assigned Monday – Thursday Students may earn a Math Buck for completing all questions (front and back) on math homework sheet daily Students should be sure to study/review practice test before class tests

8 Expectations Students need to demonstrate automaticity with their multiplication and division facts! Students should be taking notes daily on math vocabulary and class lessons in their notebooks. Students should be keeping up with their assigned 30 minutes on Khan Academy every week! If students are confused about homework questions, they need to let me know at the beginning of math class. Furthermore, if students are confused about concepts, they should come to see me during CE time for support. Students who miss lessons due to absence will be required to make-up the lessons they missed. We can discuss this on an individual basis as needed.

9 Other Misc. Items…. Please sign and return math tests to school. You will be able to keep all of them at the end of the year. Math Bucks - Incentive Program to encourage participation, engagement and stamina in math lessons and homework
