3. The Upper Room Discourse John 13-16; John 13:18 Omniscience, Sovereignty and your Election

4. Vs. 16, 1) The servant must have Authority Orientation,

5. Vs. 17, 2) Knowledge and application of Bible Doctrine results in Happiness.

6. Vs. 18, 3) God's Omniscience does not hinder or violate human volition.

7. Principles regarding: "I do not speak of all of you"

8. Jesus is making a distinction among those present in the Upper Room - analogous to a gathering of all of mankind.

9. Everyone will come to know Christ, but not all will come to believe on Him, thereby creating a differentiation among men.

10. Judas Iscariot is in view and is analogous of the unbeliever.

11. The unbeliever does not receive the invaluable doctrines that our Lord teaches.

12. The unbeliever does not receive because of his unbelief, which disqualifies him from the Grace Apparatus for Perception.

13. The unbeliever is disqualified from receiving the Happiness of God for both time and eternity.

14. The unbeliever is dismissed from attendance and as a result will miss out on further Biblical lessons taught by the Lord, especially in eternity.

15. The unbeliever is allowed to hear the basic doctrines regarding the cleansing of sins.

16. Due to rejection of Christ's sacrifice he is not qualified, nor does he have the capacity to receive more advanced doctrine in time or eternity.

17. Principles regarding: "I know the ones I have chosen".

18. Election of the believer is found in Rom 9:11; 11:5, 7, 28; 1 Thes 1:4; 2 Peter 1:10.

19. Rev 17:14, “These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”

20. The Omniscience of Jesus Christ is one of the 10 major attributes of the essence of God.

21. Attributes of God: Sovereignty, Righteousness, Perfect Justice, Love, Eternal Life, Omniscience, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Immutability and Veracity.

22. All of these attributes are ascribed somewhere in scripture to Jesus Christ. For example:

23. Eternal Life, Isa 9:6; Micah 5:2; John 1:1; 8:58; Col 1:16,17; Eph 1:4; Rev 1:11.

24. Righteousness and Justice (holiness or integrity), Luke 1:35; John 6:69; Heb 7:26.

25. Love, John 13:1,34; 1 John 3:16. Immutability, Heb 13:8.

26. Omniscient, Mat 9:4; John 2:25; 1 Cor 4:5; Col 2:3; Rev 2:23.

27. Omnipotent, Mat 24:30; 28:13; 1 Cor 15:28; Phil 3:21; Heb 1:3; Rev 1:8.
