Note that we went through five intense days of learning, a long journey which started with understanding why RBM is crucial for UNICEF and its mandate and learn about the organization’s strategy to ensure that a results-based culture permeates everything we do.
Solicit feedback on the key messages the participants have retained with regard to the main RBM drivers and UNICEF’s RBM strategy. Use the following key messages of the relevant sessions as reference:
Achieving results for children is driven by child rights, he equity focus and supports the SDGs.
UNICEF is committed to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability. This also means that everything we do is in the public domain and can be scrutinized by UNICEF’s key constituents – individuals, governments, CSOs, the media and as such should shape our approach to RBM
UNICEF depends on voluntary contributions. Demonstrating results is critical to ensure continued funding.
RBM enables UNICEF to meet its mandate and be accountable to stakeholders, including children, governments, CSOs, and donors.
RBM is relevant to everyone in UNICEF and for all we do.
RBM requires constant learning – this workshop is part of a wider UNICEF’s RBM strategy including the RBM e-learning, which all UNICEF staff is expected to take.
Putting the systems in place and ensuring Management for Results is now essential since the basic concepts of RBM have been understood.
