Saturday, 12 January 2019 His·to·ri·an A historian is a person who studies and writes about the past and is regarded as an authority on it. How does a Historian investigate the past? Ar·chae·ol·o·gist The scientific study of prehistoric peoples and their cultures by analysis of their artefacts, inscriptions, monuments, etc. How does an Archaeologist investigate the past? Chro·nolo·ger The persona and science that deals with the determination of dates and the sequence of events. How does a Chronologer investigate the past?

Source Analysis… What are the questions we ask a source? WHAT? What is the Source? What is it trying to tell us? WHO? Who made the Source? Who is it about? WHEN? When was the Source made/found? WHERE? Where was the Source made/found? WHY? Why was the source made? HOW? How was the source made?

Identify a significant person from the past Examine the motives for that persons actions in the past Explain the consequences of that persons actions Provide evidence (sources) in your response… Historian “X” states that the consequences created by the person are… The Causes How did they get to where they are? What did they do? Who was involved? The Effects What was the outcome or result? What is their importance or significance? Has it influenced the future?
