2. Let’s get started … Open PowerPoint Choose a template Type Title
Type your Heading

3. Use menu bar above for … Bold, Italics, Underline Color Font size
Font style
Bullets or Numbering
Right, Left or Center Alignment
Line spacing (click on Paragraph arrow)
and much more (just like Word)!

4. Add a slide … Click on New Slide above
Choose the type of slide you want
“Title and Content” is the most common
Type your information

5. Add another slide … Type more information Don’t use lots of words
Write short sentences or phrases
Leave lots of space
Make it easy to read

6. Continue to add slides …
Put different kinds of information on different slides
Don’t put all your information on one or two slides
Make it easy to read!

7. To add an ONLINE photograph …
Click on lower MIDDLE icon on this page (icon disappears when you type)
Type one word for image you want (e.g. nurse, accountant)
Choose the image you want
Click on the image
Click insert

8. To add a PERSONAL photograph …
Click on lower LEFT icon on this page (icon disappears when you type)
Find the location of your photograph (e.g. USB drive, desktop)
Choose the image you want
Click on the image
Click insert

9. To add information from a website …
Open Internet and find information
Highlight information you want
Copy information you want
Return to your PowerPoint
Paste information in a new slide
Be sure to use quotation marks and write the source!

10. To save your PowerPoint …
Insert your USB Drive into computer
Click “File” in upper left corner
Click “Save As”
Double Click “Computer”
Scroll to find “Removable Drive” or the name of your device
Click “Save”

11. To remove USB Drive safely …
Click on arrow in lower right corner of monitor
Click on USB icon
Click on “Eject”
Click on “Safe to Remove Hardware”
Pull USB Drive out of computer
