2 Connectors are used like linking words to match ideas, express opinions, show sequence, describe causes and results, to give examples and to conclude. They help us to organize our writing and speaking. In addition, to improve our essays. There are a huge amount of connectors, so to organize them, we classify them depending on their purpose.

TO CONCLUDE. TO ADD POINTS ON THE SAME TOPIC. TO DESCRIBE A CAUSE TO GIVE EXAMPLES. TO INTRODUCE FACTS. TO DESCRIBE A RESULT TO EXPRESS A CONTRAST OR INTRODUCE OPPOSITE POINTS. TO EXPRESS OPINIONS AND TO MAKE GENERAL STATEMENTS.

6 To conclude When we want to finish something or to sum up our ideas, we use these type of connectors, for instance: Eventually. In conclusion. At last, lastly. In the end. To sum up, in short. All in all. Back

But. However. Nevertheless. Although, thought, even thought. Instead of. Even if. In spite of / despite of. Whereas. On the one hand, on the other hand. In contrast. It can be argued. Back

12 To express opinions and make general statements.
These connectors are used to show our opinion or feelings about something. In my opinion. I strongly believe that. I think/ feel. In my view/ from my point of view. It seems to me. As I see it. Personally / I personally think. As far as I’m concerned. Further connectors
