Ambition to develop a structural presence in the world through an active cooperation with overseas ports and terminals As international centre of port excellence, the Port of Antwerp experiences an extensive demand for effective consultancy, advise and management support for port related projects all over the world PAI looks for a deeper involvement in management support which can result in a financial participation The Port of Antwerp wants to strengthen the competitive position of the port of Antwerp on a global scale through Port of Antwerp International NV - shortly PAI. This will be deliberately chosen to develop activities outside of Europe. And especially in the growth regions that can generate cargo traffic for Antwerp. PAI is partnered with partners from the Antwerp port community looking for projects in foreign ports. These projects can range from short consultancy to long-term management assignments and port management in both expansion and renovation projects and in greenfield ports (ports expanded from zero). PAI focuses on a number of strategic regions: India, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
