The DC628K meets the speed needs of the production trim carpenter. However, the product does not have the same tool life as the pneumatic finish nailers have. You can recommend this product to a production trim carpenter. keep in mind that if he/she will use it for every day use, the life of the tool will be shorter than the life of his/her pneumatic tool.
What type of nails fit in the DC628K cordless nailer?
Basically, any DEWALT and competitive brand 15Ga DA type nail. Most of them are 33 or 34 degrees. Some distributors and end users know this type of nail as a Senco nail. DA nails are the standard 15Ga nail used in most pneumatic nailers.
What size of nails can I use on the DC628K?
The DC628K can use anywhere from 1-1/2” to 2-1/2” long nails.
Can the 15Ga nailer drive 2 ½” nails into solid hardwood?

Yes. Like the 16Ga, the new 15Ga will flash four consecutive times and then shut down to indicate a low battery. The headlights will flash continually if a nail becomes jammed in the nosepiece.
