Not HTTPS The first step is to familiarize your client with the problem. Based on our discussions and Maria’s valuable content, I have built a cost effective and relevant WordPress website that is directed to your target market and most profitable services. The website Improvements are in three main categories Technical, Esthetic, and Content: The old site is not secure The design is not relevant to business branding or the Keyhole Lockshop mission and future direction. The site logo belongs to the current host and cannot be used on another host. The new site should promote the most profitable services and products. Homepage and landing url, provides enough content to satisfy search engines and give user-friendly information about the site Next are the three main pages. Products Services and Contact The products are detailed on separate category pages with multiple access links. These are examples of products used in the installation and services provided by Keyhole Lockshop. Displaying products will aid networking to manufactures, which improves SEO ranking. The Services provided are briefly stated on the home page but detailed on the Services page. Contact information is provided on every page by placing the phone number in a highly visible location as well as on contact page with a contact form.

(Click link to browser) The new website is temporarily hosted as a subdomain of Vividimagegraphics.com. When you decide to go live I will switch the Name Servers to eHost and your domain will be moved within 24 to 48 hours. Google will rely on cached pages and visitors should not notice a significant inconvenience. Note: the Secure HTTPS. All mixed content has been fixed. The WordPress plugins includes Word Fence to prevent hacker intrusion. And Divi accessibility plugin, which tests and identifies areas that do not meet WAC 2.0 standards. I understand you would like to build your accessible door opener market. To appeal to people with disabilities your website should reflect this by eliminating all features that hinder access. Second step, is to “go” through the business of your client. Third step is to briefly describe the information you obtained and how you used this information to design the website. In our preliminary discussions about issues with the current website you mentioned that it misses the main money making areas of the business, which include commercial and residential installation of security, and electronic locking systems. The target market for the site should be a focus on commercial contractors. The wood finish was chosen to give a warm artisans appearance and pertain to buildings, more than automotive. You stated that car door lockouts are not as cost effective, and shouldn’t be emphasized over more lucrative commercial contracts. The Logo design and favicon was upgraded to be modern and give a rich metallic feel of a secure contemporary locking system. The logo is prominent on the page as well as a highly visible contact phone number as requested. The “Master Locksmith” is a high-ranking search term. The color palette expands this concept with metallic colors and a brass finish for the menu bar. A simple slide show does not overwhelm the visitor trying to understand your specialized content. The images are FPO (for position only) I would like to arrange for a photoshoot to make the site more personal The text you provided has been edited into several sections. Emphasizing electronic digital lock systems, making keys, membership in ALOA, and using the best quality products The page gives a brief overview of the business with many key words to improve SEO ranking and visibility. In the footer, you requested that the business address be displayed on every page. I have included on the left the Real Locksmith padlock, which indicates that your company is a trustworthy locksmith. To get Real Locksmith approval requires a hidden page that is updated every month with links to a validated network of bona fide locksmiths around the country. This network is also excellent for SEO ranking. The Real Locksmith logo and link is next and then The Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) logo which links to their site opening in a separate window so the visitor is not drawn offsite Next, on the menu bar is the Products page. This provides easy access buttons to the four product categories Control Access Systems, Commercial Hardware, Residential Hardware, and Mailboxes & Mailbox Locks. Additional categories can be easily added as the content becomes available. We also mention that you are not a distributor but can handle the wholesale purchase. Listing products is a great networking feature by linking with the manufacturers, and helping with SEO ranking. The first product category is Control Access Systems which features nice, high resolution images and the manufacturers detailed descriptions that have copyright approval. Next Commercial Hardware Then Residential Hardware following the same layout. And the final category for now is the Mailboxes & Mailbox Locks Back on the main menu adjacent to products is Services On the Services page trust is emphasized and again the slideshow is FPO I would like to use some images of actual installation and repair, and possibly making a key or showing electronic skills Under this is a list of all the services provided Emphasizing Master Key Systems, dependability, restricted keyways, regular lock maintenance, and investing in high-quality locks Then the Mail Boss installation service is stated. Back again to the main menu we finally preview the Contact page. The visitor has ample access to the phone number, hours of operation, and emphasis on mobility “We come to you!” tag line On the Contact page I have embedded a contact form where you can be easily contacted if someone has questions or wants to arrange for an estimate. 6 Responsive Web Design Of course no layout is good unless it is mobile friendly and responsive. So we are going to switch over to our responsiveness tester to see what it will look like on various screen sizes. (Click link to web browser) Let’s see what someone will see on a 20” desktop or a screen size of 1600px x 900 px when visiting your site. Next we will see a 15” notebook. And switching over to tablet mode. It automatically responds as if someone was using an ipad pro. Then let’s switch over to the smart phone mode This is what they would see on an iPhone 6 or 7 plus. As you can see each layout is designed to be responsive across all devices so that the viewer has the optimal view experience when visiting your website. (Navigate back to powerpoint)
