2 What is ER The term 'employee relations' refers to a company's efforts to manage relationships between employers and employees. An organization with a good employee relations program provides fair and consistent treatment to all employees so they will be committed to their jobs and loyal to the company. Employee Relations offers consultation, facilitation and resolution strategies for workplace issues. Employee Relations assists in communications between employees and supervisors, corrective action and planning, disciplinary actions, and explanation and clarification of University policies and procedures.

3 Oversees a company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Designs and develops programs to promote employee satisfaction. Helps counsel employees on issues related to EEO, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines. Maintains good communication and a positive relationship with employees.

4 Purpose The purpose of employee relations is to strengthen the employer- employee relationship through identifying and resolving workplace issues, measuring employee satisfaction and morale, and providing support and input to the company's performance management system. An organization with a good employee relations program provides fair and consistent treatment to all employees so they will be committed to their jobs and loyal to the company. Such programs also aim to prevent and resolve problems arising from situations at work
