FCC Petition for Reconsideration
September 23, 2010 the FCC issued the “final” rules for unlicensed operation in the TVWS
Generally, it is good for P802.11af; two provisions not so much
Out-of-band emissions mask is too restrictive
Even stationary WLAN devices must check location every minute
Change to emissions mask is “out of scope”
TGaf prepared a petition with improvements
Two additional certification classes
Additional information to the database for future improvements
WG should approve as input to the process
