2 Agenda “Visualizing Our Vision” Curriculum Priorities
Reports & Updates

3 Pretty Good

4 Visualizing Our Vision
If there were no obstacles at all, what would I love to see happen to the Technology & Engineering Program in Parkway? What would I love to see my students doing? What would it look like? What would it sound like? What is my ideal scenario? What do I want this program to be remembered or known for? How do I want people to describe our program and our student’s work? What must happen in our program to achieve the mission of the Parkway School District?

5 Visualize Your Vision

6 Industrial & Engineering Technology Technical Skill Attainment (TSA)
CTE students will become a proficient “concentrators” earning 3 or more credits in a sequence within a program area and scoring proficient on the industry-recognized TSA. Technical Skill Attainment (TSA) Project Lead the Way – End of Course College Exam Pathway Coursework Stage 1: Identify Desired Results Stage 2: Assessment Evidence Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Architecture and Construction Manufacturing Transportation, Distribution and Logistics PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design PLTW Principles of Engineering PLTW Digital Electronics PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture PLTW Computer Integrated Manufacturing PLTW Biotechnical Engineering Robotics Technology Design and Technology 1, 2 Construction Technology Advanced Construction Technology Drafting Civil Engineering and Architecture Computer Integrated Manufacturing Power, Energy and Transportation 1 Power, Energy, and Transportation 2 Stage 3: Learning Plan

What Do We Need to Start Doing?

8 Goals of the Curriculum Action Teams
Determine CTE program/pathway transfer goals and determine which goals belong within each CTE course. Update Stage 1 curriculum to include explicitly stated transfer goals. Align curriculum to Parkway M/V. Create/revise assessments to align with Stage 1.
