5. The Nile River is Life & Death
The Nile River passes through Egypt and provides rich soil deposits of silt that fertilize land.
As a result, the ancient people of Egypt were able to raise crops and feed themselves;
The Nile floods every May;
It was either high water or hunger.

It flows through the modern countries of Uganda, Ethiopia and the Sudan;
