1 The Increasing Diversity of KRAS Signaling in Pancreatic Cancer
Jens T. Siveke  Gastroenterology  Volume 147, Issue 4, Pages (October 2014) DOI: /j.gastro Copyright © 2014 AGA Institute Terms and Conditions

2 Figure 1 (A) In the absence of cytoplasmic heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins A2/B1 (HNRNPA2B1), signaling through the PI3K/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) axis is diminished. (B) Upon protein kinase C–mediated phosphorylation of oncogenic KRAS at serine 181, KRAS is released from the membrane and binds to cytoplasmic HNRNPA2B1. Interaction of KRAS/HNRNPA2B1 with PI3K then leads to increased activation of AKT/mTOR signaling. Gastroenterology  , DOI: ( /j.gastro ) Copyright © 2014 AGA Institute Terms and Conditions
