1 Borras Park C.P. School Council
A presentation by: Daisy Lloyd & Jayden Hart

2 Borras Park Community Primary School Council Constitution
The aims of the council will be to try to make things better for the school, to help teachers by solving some of the small problems and by improving the school through children’s suggestions – a school voice. The school council will be involved: With helping the school by listening and sharing children’s ideas. With raising money for the school. With improving the school environment. The school council will meet once a month. The head teacher, teachers, governors and other pupils will sometimes be invited to attend council meetings.

3 Listening and sharing children’s ideas.
In December we were asked to start thinking about a new school mission statement. We began by researching mission statements from across the UK. We then asked the children in our class for their ideas.

4 In January, we decided that we wanted our mission statement to be linked to our new school badge.
These were some of our ideas: Together we can soar. Reach for the stars. Ready to take off. Flying high. The sky is the limit. Upwards and onwards. Where everyone shines brightly.
