2. My first mission trip
This is important because it represent my desire to serve God and people. I went with a group from my church to Nicaragua and we worked with 450 children and families providing community health, medical care, and child development activities.

3. I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love.

The picture of my first mission trip shows the REAL ME because in everything I do from my job to my church groups to events with my family to volunteering, I try to serve with love because that’s the only thing that can make this world a better place, and I believe we were each and every one of us put here to make this world a better place!

4. The day I was born
This picture is important because it documents the day I was born. I look very much like an alien and sometimes, I still feel that way.

5. MY SISTER AND I ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME
This picture is important for two reasons. First, my sister, who’s also my best friend, represents the importance of family for me. Next, we were road tripping, which is one of my favorite things to do. I travel between 6,000-10,000 miles by car each summer!

6. Partial Picture of my fourth grade class
This is important because I now teach fourth grade. I need to try to remember what it was like to be the student instead of the teacher I am today.

7. An x-ray of my right ankle
This is important because breaking my ankle in ninth grade continues to effect my life today. I’ve had numerous surgeries. I missed out on a “normal” high school education. I had to learn to drive with a left foot accelerator. I still have to see an orthopedic specialist once a year. My life was forever changed by one day in ninth grade PE class.

8. My graduating class
This is important because education is so important to me. While this is my high school graduation picture, I was the first and so far only one in my family to finish college, and I am very proud of my accomplishment.
