3. The Four Stages of Jean Piaget Theory
The Sensorimotor Stage Ages: Birth to 2 years
The Preoperational Stage Ages: 2 to 7 years
The Concrete Operational Stage Ages: 7 to 11 years
The Formal Operational Stage Ages: 12 and up

4. The Sensorimotor Stage Age: birth to 2 years
Infant know the world through
movements and sensations.
Infant learn the world through basic actions
like sucking, grasping, looking and listening.
They separate from people and object around them.
As they start developing they discover new things about the world.

5. The Preoperational Stage Ages: 2 to 7 years
Tend to be selfish and struggle to see things from perspective of others.
Children begin to use words and pictures to represent objects.
Become more skilled and pretend play.
Often struggle with understanding the idea of constancy.

6. The Concrete Operational Stage Ages: 7 to 11 years
Children begin to think logically about concrete events.
Understand the concept of conservation.
Begin to think about others how they feel and think.
Give more reasoning, specific information to a general event.

7. The Formal Operational Stage Ages: 12 and up
Increase in logic, use reasoning, and understand abstract ideas.
See multiple solutions to problems and think more specifically.
Plan for the future and reason about theoretical situations.

8. How can Jean Piaget theory can be used in class?
That everybody has different points of views.
Makes us think more logically and have different solutions to problems.
Understand the concept of conservation
And plan for our future to succeed in life.
