Color There are two kinds of colors: Cool & WARM There are 2 kinds of colors, Cool colors and Warm colors. COLORS

3 Green Blue Purple Cool COLORS
Cool colors are Green Blue & Purple. They are soothing, remind you of nature, of peace and rest. Purple

4 Oranges Yellows WARM COLORS Reds
Warm colors are Red, Yellow & Orange. They are hot, fast, dynamic & purposeful, happy & cheerful.

5 Remind us of water or sky Give feelings of quietness or restfulness
Cool COLORS Remind us of water or sky Give feelings of quietness or restfulness Cool colors tend to move away from you, are not confrontational.

6 Appear hot like the sun or fire.
WARM COLORS Appear hot like the sun or fire. Give feelings of happiness, activity & cheerfulness. Warm colors seem to move toward, in your face, energetic & intense.

7 Different effects. The same ad - Two different colors.
Notice the difference between the same ads using with different colors. Use warm colors for ads that contain powerful or “masculine” products like race cars or trucks, fast food or Blood.

8 Or blue. NASCAR doesn’t do green.
Can you imagine NASCAR using happy blue or soothing green? NO! They use Warm colors because:

Warm colors have the illusion of moving toward you. For instance, try this simple trick. move toward you…

11 Warm COLORS Red and green are fighting for your attention. But red wins out, because it is a warm color. Warm colors are "advancing” toward you.

12 Warm COLORS Yellow and Blue are the same thing. But Yellow wins out, because it is a warm color. Warm colors are "advancing” toward you.

13 Which one recedes and looks smaller?

14 Colors used in your ads should match the product being sold!
It is essential that the colors used in the advertisement bear some relationship to the product or service being advertised. If you want to advertise insurance or a stuffy business use blues & stable colors. If you want to sell basketball shoes use action colors.

15 Unless you want to purposely SHOCK the viewer!
