What is EGR?
Central register kept at Eurostat in combination with national registers in each Member State, altogether forming a network of registers on multinational enterprise groups and their constituent units.
Involving several exchanges of individual enterprise data (micro data) between Eurostat and NSAs
Legal base: Community legislation (EC) No 177/2008 and (EC) No 192/2009, implementing a system for the mandatory exchange of micro data.

Ideas
Access only for members of the ESS and ESCB
Creation of separate protected environment (INTSEC) to enable real-time sharing of micro data via remote online access.
Not only read-access but complete EGR production and dissemination environments to be placed in the INTSEC to enable ‘living register’.
All data exchanges via eDamis
