1 County of Simcoe – Prophix story
Operating since: Unknown Head office: Midhurst, Ontario, Canada Annual revenue: $418 million (2013) Number of employees: 1,600 G/L or ERP: SAP Website: Company background: The County of Simcoe is an upper-tier municipality located approximately 1 hour north of Toronto. Comprised of both small-urban and rural areas, the County encompasses sixteen local municipalities with a combined population of 446,000. One of the fastest growing areas of the province, the County’s population is expected to grow approximately fifty percent by 2031. The County is governed by a 32 member Council comprised of the mayors and deputy mayors of each of the local municipalities. The County’s 1,600 employees deliver services to residents and businesses in the County as well as in the cities of Barrie and Orillia which are geographically within the County but considered separated cities. The County’s 2013 operating and capital budgets exceed $415 million.

2 County of Simcoe – Prophix story
Prophix use case (at point of purchase): The County of Simcoe will be using Prophix Software for detailed personnel planning (i.e., managing the many varying schedules of employees with DPM), multi-year project planning(i.e. road building projects), and revenue planning. The County of Simcoe thought Prophix was the best fit for their needs and liked that our solution because it automates many of the repetitive financial processes that currently take them a lot of time with Excel, but also because it is owned and maintained by the office of finance. Data integration: The County of Simcoe’s IT department are building staging tables for their SAP ERP in order to connect with Prophix. I.e., SAP is rather proprietary and is seen (unfairly?) to struggle to integrate with CPM products, so the County’s IT team worked to ease the process of integrating with Prophix.
