- In November 2017, seven states and DC announced a public conversation about the opportunities and challenges of a low-carbon transportation system, the benefits we would all like to see in the transportation system of the future, and the policies that will enable us to realize this future together.
- The announcement coincided with a Georgetown Climate Center analysis of the fuel system of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, using a cap and invest system as an example. Shows that despite differences with California’s transportation fuel system, a system with similar principles is feasible for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
