2 Required Reading Conferring Assessment
10-12 minute sessions per student Requirements include: Title, author, genre, # of pages for each book Synopsis and author’s “purpose” of story Focus and articulated explanation of writing craft (HOW did the author write in order to make this an effective--or maybe ineffective-- book. 20 points per book and notes x 10 books= TOTAL of 200 Assessment Points.

3 Required Reading Conferring Assessment
Considerations for grading: Required number of books Depth of analysis Quality of notes Rigorousness of reading MUST BE PRESENT ON THE DAY YOU are assigned (done at random, with seniors going first). If there is a legitimate pre-arranged conflict, you must communicate with Mrs. Whetstone immediately to schedule a new day.

5 Pre- AP Registration Session
PLEASE help promote these dates and stress the importance of attending one of them. They need to bring a #2 pencil with them.   This will be in the cafeteria and will take about 30 minutes Dates/times are: Monday, April 30th 1:35pm (6th Hour) Wednesday, May 2nd  8:55am (2nd Hour) Thursday, May 3rd  10:00am (3rd Hour) $$$FINAL BALANCE IS DUE Thursday, April 26!
