Intelligence The capacity to learn, reason, and understand; and the demonstration of such capacity

Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence
Ability to use language to express one’s thoughts and to understand other people orally or in writing. Uses debate. Enjoys reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Likes to tell jokes, discussions, writing poems, stories, and passing notes.

Logical/Mathematical Intelligence:
Ability to manipulate numbers, quantities, and operations accompanied by a love of dealing with abstractions such as patterns, relations, numbers, and symbols Examples: solving problems, working with numbers, categorizing, determining relations with cause and effects Likes working with patterns and relationships classifying

Visual/Spatial Intelligence:
Ability to represent the spatial world visually in one’s mind. Express it through pictures, sculptures, arranging objects, and navigating through space. Likes working with pictures. Enjoy doodling, designing, drawing, daydreaming, combining colors, arranging objects, and often have a good sense of direction.

Musical/Rhythmic Intelligence:
The ability to hear music in one’s head and to hear tones, rhythms, and larger musical patterns. Enjoy listening to and creating music in many forms. Good with rhythm. Playing music, singing songs, reading music, composing melodies and lyrics, remembering melodies, humming, and appreciating music

Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence:
The ability to use the whole body or parts of the body to solve problems, create a product, or put on some kind of production; role play. Think in, with, about movement or gestures. Facial and hand gestures and body movements are symbols to think in and express this intelligence. Enjoy physical activities, and developing physical skills such as: dancing, acting, athletics, and using tools. Likes to move around and touch to learn; hands-on activities

Naturalist Intelligence:
The ability to discriminate among living things and to see patterns. also a sensitivity to features of the natural world such as plants, animals, clouds, and rocks. Can make distinctions between flora and fauna. Enjoys collecting, analyzing, and studying plants, animals, and environments

Interpersonal Intelligence:
The ability to notice and make distinctions among others; a strong understanding of other people. Enjoys working with, caring for, leading, seeing different views of opinion, and learning from others. Likes to lead, organize, communicate, resolve conflicts, join groups, and talk to people. Has strong friendship and leadership skills

Intrapersonal Intelligence:
The ability to know and understand one’s internal moods, feelings, state of mind and one’s self; including goals, tendencies, talents, and limitations. Uses dream images and feelings as symbols to think and express oneself. Enjoys solitude, contemplation, and the ability to explore inner states of thoughts-including preferences, plans, fantasies, memories, and feelings. Likes to work alone to pursue their own interests and have their own space. Has the ability to recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and set their own goals
