Objective: SWBAT 1. describe and illustrate the word “interpretation”. [Noun] One explanation or understanding of a concept/idea/specific work that has multiple meanings. There are different ways of thinking about ideas; how you decide to think about something and how you view it, is your interpretation. In English class there are often no “right answers” --- rather how you evaluate and analyze a text is important. How you explain your ideas is determined by your own interpretation. Interpret [Verb] To translate an idea, a text, a piece of art, so that you understand it and that it is meaningful to you. Do you have a better way of thinking about this concept?
