2. Oral / Role Play
To qualify in regionals students have to achieve over 50/100 on the written exam
Regionals will be held sometime near the end of November
To practice and prepare google ur event followed by “Practice Test”
If students succeed in Regionals they can make it to provincials in February

3. Written Events
-To qualify for Provincials, individuals or groups need to pass the written exam. If students are participating in written events as a group, then the average test score of each group member will be averaged to qualify
- Submission date Tuesday, January 15, 2019 (5pm)
: Submit to turnitin.com
-Recent news: all 15 page events is reduced to 10 / all 30 page events is reduced to 20
-No restrictions regarding font, letter size, margin spacing, and props for provincials

4. What to Expect
Oral
:depending on your event, you will have 30 minutes to review and make notes regarding your case. Then you will have a one-on-one 15 minute meeting with the judge and present your situation (10 min to present and 5 min to answer the Judge’s question)
Written
:you are expected to write your proposal entry and submit it before January 15. After that follow thrpugh with Part B of your case and prepare for your presentation at Provincials

5. Oral Case Study Example
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
-You will be given a list of performance indicators that ask you specific tasks to include in your presentations.
-If you do not include the answer or reference to these point you will lose points
-Make it very clear when stated the indicators by using the same words that are used in the case study and repeat them several times
-WHEN IN DOUBT….GUESS!!
CASE STUDY SITUATION
-You will be given a situation
-The case study will mention details such as your position, who the judge will represent, the company (etc), and what the issue entails
-It is your job to be as creative and confident when presenting your ideas
-Writting out a format and charted plan is tecomended to make sure you say everything you need
-Draw out visuals (diagrams, timelines, finances, charts) to show the judge for extra presentation points

BUSINESS OPERATIONS EVENTS: (BOR, BMOR, FOR, HTOR, SEOR) Entrepreneurship exam.
CHAPTER TEAM EVENTS: (CSP, CMP, EPP, FLPP, LEP, PRP) Entrepreneurship exam.
MANAGEMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVENTS: (EIB, EIP, EFB, ESB, IBP) Entrepreneurship exam.
MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE EVENTS : (IMCE, IMCP, IMCS) Marketing Cluster exam.
PROFESSIONAL SELLING AND CONSULTING EVENTS : (HTPS ) Hospitality Cluster exam.,
FCE event WILL WRITE the Finance Cluster exam
PSE event WILL WRITE the Marketing Cluster exam.

8. Outline For The Exam 100 multiple choice questions / Max of 70 minutes
Marketing Representative Events (IMCP, IMCS, IMCE) all write and qualify based on weighted-average scores of team members
Professional Selling & Consulting Events (FCE, HTPS, PSE) all write the Regional online test and qualify based on test scores only
usernames will be the address that was used to register with DECA Ontario. The portal and password to write the exam will be given day of

9. All Entrepreneurship and ALL DECA 15+ page papers write the Entrepreneurship exam as a qualifier.
